Petworth Sounds Studio, London
We can create tailor-made music in a wide range of styles at very competitive rates, and can record songwriters or bands live to catch the magic. John Landau is the house engineer and has worked with artists such as Sam Smith, Jnay (John Adeleye), Joe Worricker and Bon-Bon. We can help you translate your ideas into a polished and professional finished product, quickly and to a budget.
The studio features a 1963 Rogers drum kit with an extensive cymbal collection, an M102 Hammond organ and Story and Clark acoustic piano, as well as many guitars, bass and other stringed instruments, use of which is all included in studio time. Acoustic treatment keeps the studio a quiet, focused and naturally-lit workspace in the bustling Kentish Town/Gospel Oak (NW5) neighbourhood.
We use top-quality mics by Neumann, AKG, Audio-Technica, Audix, Beyer, Shure, Sennheiser, Marshall and Røde. Preamps by Trident, Focusrite and Presonus. Amps by Ampeg, Fender, Marshall, Peavey and Blackstar. Outboard gear by ADL,Yamaha, MOTU, Valley Arts and Roland.
Most importantly, we provide an atmosphere that's creative, relaxed and fun to work in. Wood floors, carpets, high ceilings in a late-Victorian house. Mood lighting available for that little extra something on a take. Sofas, comfortable seats, drinks and an artist-friendly environment.
That's Petworth Sounds Studio...
